Building Support: Persimmon Donates £2,500 to MNDA Norfolk
24 June 2025

Persimmon Homes Anglia has proudly donated £2,500 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) Norfolk, supporting the charity’s vital work helping individuals and families affected by motor neurone disease across the region.
The donation is part of Persimmon Home’s Community Champions initiative, which sees the 5-star homebuilder contribute £6,000 each quarter to local charities and organisations, making a difference in the communities where it builds. The presentation was held at Persimmon’s Festival Park development in Norwich and part of the community that MNDA Norfolk serves.
Jorden Knell, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Anglia, met with Malcolm Chubbock, Chairman of MNDA Norfolk, who has led the group for over 30 years following a personal family experience with MND which inspired him to start the Norfolk branch.
Commenting after the visit, Jorden Knell said “We are incredibly proud to support MNDA Norfolk and the remarkable work they do. Meeting Malcolm and learning about his longstanding dedication to this cause was inspiring. His unwavering commitment to supporting those affected by motor neurone disease (MND) highlights just how crucial this work is.
This donation will not only fund vital research and care but also bring hope and tangible support to individuals and families in our community who are living with MND. It's a powerful reminder that community-driven initiatives like this truly do make a lasting difference.”
Malcolm, who has chaired MNDA Norfolk for three decades added “The Norfolk Norwich and Waveney Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association are extremely grateful for the generous donation of £2500-00 to support families living with motor neurone disease in our area.”
The Community Champions initiative forms part of Persimmon Home’s broader commitment to building not just homes but supporting communities in which they build. The programme invites applications from local organisations and charities seeking funding.
