Midlands region help a mental health group
10 August 2022

A support group for Towcester people who are struggling with mental health concerns has been handed a £1,000 boost by our Midland's region.
Space2talk was selected to receive the funding through the company’s Community Champions scheme, aims to support grassroots organisations helping to make a tangible difference to the lives of local people.
Claire Dearsley, sales director for our Midlands region, said: “Small charities and not-for-profit groups like Space2talk deliver vital services within our neighbourhoods, so we are always keen to support their work.”
Space2talk offers peer support groups for people experiencing issues with their mental health, helping them to cope with their individual circumstances.
Director and co-founder of space 2 talk Pete Spink said: “As a not-for-profit community interest company, we rely heavily on public contributions and fundraising to be able to continue our work, so we are enormously grateful to Persimmon for their generous donation.
“We operate support groups, activities and courses to support the every-increasing needs of our community.
“Talking about our worries or concerns is fundamental to our well-being, but it can be challenging to open up to our nearest and dearest friends and work colleagues, so this is where peer support can help.”
