Engage Sports Coaching in Caister has received a cash boost thanks to a £1,000 donation from housebuilder Persimmon Homes Anglia as part of their Community Champions scheme.
The donation comes as part of Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme, which sees £6000 donated quarterly to local charities and organisations, and follows the completion of the showhome at Persimmon’s new Mulberry Park development in Caister. Keen to support the local community in the areas in which Persimmon is delivering new homes, Engage Sports Coaching was chosen as a local organisation to benefit from the funding programme.
Engage Sports Coaching runs holiday clubs and sports activities for children in the Caister area, offering affordable, high-quality childcare to families.
Mathew Cooper from Engage Sports Coaching said:
“At Engage Sports Coaching we offer one of the cheapest childcare options in the area, as we feel this gives parents the opportunity to earn money while working and not have to worry about all of it going on childcare. This money from Persimmon will allow us to get more equipment to offer a greater variety of sports for our provision, while sticking to our values of affordable and quality childcare.”
The £1,000 will be used to purchase new sports equipment, helping Engage Sports Coaching continue to expand the range of activities available to children in the area.
Engage Sports Coaching has quickly become a vital part of the local community, offering a safe and active environment for children to learn new skills, stay healthy, and have fun.
Attending the cheque presentation at the new Mulberry Park site in Caister was Michelle Baker, Managing Director and Debi Sherman, Head of Planning. Michelle Baker commented:
“We are always keen to support the communities in which we build and we’re delighted to be supporting Engage Sports Coaching. This Community Champions donation will allow them to purchase more equipment in time for the upcoming school summer break and allow more families to access this local service.”
