We have a long standing commitment to investing in skills for the future and offer various structured training programmes including apprenticeships and a brand new graduate training scheme.
In 2020 13% of our workforce participated in a formal training programme with 345 apprentices learning traditional craft skills such as bricklaying and joinery, which is among the largest commitment to apprentice training in the industry. In addition, in 2020 we had 70 sales trainees and 265 colleagues training in disciplines such as accounting, quantity surveying, planning and construction.
As at October 2021 our training team has delivered online courses to 23,000 attendees and we have 185 delegates on our development programmes. We have created bespoke career pathway programmes for site managers, sales advisors and customer care team members and continue to expand the ways in which we nurture our talent.
