When Charley Wright first joined Persimmon, he was just 18 year old and looking for a place to start his career. Five years later, he’s already an Assistant Quality Surveyor. We caught up with him to find out what it’s really like to be part of the team.

When I joined Persimmon, I didn’t know a lot about the company, but helping solve the housing crisis just felt like a good thing to be part of.

Five years in, and I love it. Persimmon is a place where you’re trusted to go for it, they really want you to do well and they bring people up – there’s so much internal promotion. Even if you’re inexperienced, they’ll encourage you to aim high and there’s always somebody to lean on. There are some real characters here, and it’s a good, healthy atmosphere, where everybody chips in. Basically, it’s a place where you get all the freedom you need to develop, but with this safety net of great support. It’s a been the ideal choice for me and my career.
