A senior site manager at our Orchard Mews development in Pershore has secured a further accolade from the National House Building Council (NHBC) for quality home construction.
Dan Mills secured the Seal of Excellence award for his outstanding work on the site. Dan, who has been with the team since 2019, started out in the industry nearly a decade ago as a labourer, progressing to now being an award-winning senior site manager.
Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition of its type in the homebuilding industry and a prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers. One of the industry’s most sought-after awards, the prestigious accolade is one of the first to be won by a Persimmon team member since 2016.
Every site manager on a site registered for an NHBC Buildmark warranty is entered into the competition, with Quality Award winners going forward to the Seal of Excellence Award round.
Commenting on his award, Dan said:
“I am really proud to have been given this award for all that I have accomplished at Orchard Mews alongside my hard-working team who deserve this award as much as I do. For me, this award is particularly meaningful as we’d almost won in the past two years, but just missed out. Getting to take the award home this year is such an honour.
“It is really important to me that we produce high quality properties, not only for the professional pride we feel in doing a job, but because we know that house will become someone’s home where they can build their life and take care of their property.
“So, I want to share this recognition with my fantastic team on the Orchard Mews site.”
Russell Griffin, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands added:
“I am so proud of Dan and the team at Orchard Mews for their outstanding work securing the Seal of Excellence Award. I know just how hard Dan works to lead his team to get great results for Persimmon customers in their quest for a house they’d love to live in.
“It is because of people like Dan that Persimmon South Midlands is building high quality homes people can rely on at a price they can afford.”
