Four apprentices across the West Midlands have kicked off their careers with us, dividing their time between local colleges and the region's sites across the region.

Harry Flack, Eden Grew, Wade Walker and Luke Arrowsmith are all working towards their level two qualifications which will enable them to become skilled in their trades and have the opportunity to work with us following their courses.

Harry, Wade and Luke are based at our Hadley Gate site in Telford, where Wade and Luke are studying Carpentry and Joinery, with Luke working towards a qualification in bricklaying. Eden is based at our St John’s Grange site in Lichfield and is also training in Carpentry and Joinery.

Training for the apprentices is provided by SBC Training, based in Shrewsbury – where the apprentices will be based one day per week.

Colin Thaw, Managing Director at SBC Training, said: “We are proud to be extending our partnership with Persimmon Homes. We have found that our shared belief in training in modern skills but instilling traditional values is working well to support the next generation of skilled employees and we look forward to working with this new group.”

Daniel Hassall, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “At Persimmon, we’re passionate about developing future talent and equipping our apprentices with the practical skills they need to thrive in the working world, as well as ensuring they have the necessary theoretical background from our partnerships with local colleges.

“It’s a delight to work with our apprentices on a daily basis, helping to coach them throughout the early stages of their career and watch them develop their skills.”
