Approval has been granted by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to develop 445 new homes in the popular location of Bedworth, Warwickshire.
The site – delivered by our Central team – will be located off Hospital Lane. Of these new homes, 25% are also intended to be transferred to a housing association partner for rent and shared ownership.
Along with the boost to local housing needs, the wider development will bring with it a range of benefits - including millions pledged towards the nearby area.
As part of the new community we will be providing a biodiversity net gain, with new habitat creation including hedgerow and tree planting, water features and woodland. Alongside this, footpaths and cycleways will be prioritised throughout the development, placing an emphasis on connectivity whilst reducing car dependency, heling sustainable transport to integrate into the existing network and support local facilities.
Neil Williams, Regional Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Central said: “We’re proud to have secured approval to deliver our new community at Hospital Lane in Bedworth. Our upcoming new community will bring a wide range of new benefits to the area, including key infrastructure, open spaces, community centres, play areas and allotments, leaving a legacy of community benefits for the people of Bedworth and the surrounding areas.
“Throughout the development process, we will be working closely with the local community and Nuneaton and Bedworth District Council to ensure that our development at Hospital Lane contributes to addressing local housing need and delivers real benefits for the area.”
