The developer behind the Redworthy Orchard development in Yatton has handed over its first homes to a local housing association.
Persimmon Homes Severn Valley have transferred four properties to Alliance Homes, which will help alleviate pressure on North Somerset Council’s housing waiting list.
18 of the 60 high-quality homes due to be built on the site off Moor Road will be going to Alliance. 13 of these will be for social rent, while five will be available for shared ownership.
The accredited five-star housebuilder’s currently has two, three, and four-bed homes available to purchase on the open market at Redworthy Orchard from £300,000. The site’s show home was launched earlier this spring.
Persimmon donates £700,000 each year to good causes and much-valued organisations across Britain each year as part of its Community Champions scheme. Recent local recipients include Yatton Juniors FC, Ashton & Backwell United FC, Bristol Normandy Veterans, St George Easton in Gordano FC, Backwell Playhouse, Portishead Town FC, and Bristol Baby Bank Network.
