Persimmon Homes Midlands region has donated bricks to support the training of future construction workers.
Persimmon Homes Midlands made the contribution to Northampton College to help students develop hands-on bricklaying skills.
The materials are already being used by students to develop practical bricklaying skills, giving them real-world experience as they prepare for careers in the industry.
Darren Knox, Contracts Manager at Persimmon Homes Midlands, recently visited the college to meet learners and staff, seeing first-hand how the bricks are being used and the skills students are developing.
Joshua Cass, Technician Demonstrator, Northampton College said: “We are extremely grateful for this generous brick donation from Persimmon Homes. It has enabled us to start rotating some of the older bricks and give our full-time students a fantastic opportunity to use brand new bricks as they would do on site.”
David Ablett, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands said: “We’re pleased to support Northampton College and the next generation of construction workers.
“We’re only too happy to help learners and apprentices hone their skills as they train, and we hope these materials play a small part in that journey.”
