Fulford is a riverside residential area, that's still referred to as a village, just two miles to the south of the historic cathedral and university city of York. It’s close to the River Ouse, on its way through the city centre, giving it a great excuse for riverside walks, parks and rowing clubs, and providing a great backdrop for a new home. Several key routes radiate out from York, and the A1237, which circles the city, puts them all within easy reach, connecting Fulford with York’s main neighbours, Harrogate, Leeds, Scarborough and Hull.

On the go
The A1237 is the all-important link between the A64 Leeds to Scarborough road, the A59 Harrogate road, the A19 Middlesbrough to Selby road, the A166 Driffield road and the A1079 Hull road. The intersection between the A64 and the A19 is on the southern edge of Fulford. It’s just over 30 miles to Leeds Bradford Airport on the A64. There are regular bus services giving you easy access to the city centre, as well as to the McArthurGlen Designer Shopping Outlet which is very much on the retail map, outside York’s own excellent city centre facilities.
