The Foundation runs an open application programme for registered charities that meet its aims. Find out how to apply below.
The Foundation launched its open application programme in 2025 to enable more charities and community groups to access donations.
There are two rounds of funding, with a total of £300,000 available for distribution each year, in the form of six £50,000 donations. The first round opens in March, with three successful applicants selected in May. The second round opens in June, with three donations awarded in September.
The programme is currently accepting applications. For this round of funding, the Foundation welcomes applications from registered charities for UK-based projects that focus on:
- children and young people aged 14 to 25
- employability
- areas of economic and social deprivation.
Before applying, organisations should consider these guidelines and decide whether their project meets the Foundation’s focus for this round of funding.
To apply for a donation, fill in this form . The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday, March 15th. Successful applicants will be informed in May. We regret that we are unable to notify unsuccessful applicants of the outcome of their application.
Please note, funding will be awarded to registered charities only. Registered charities that were unsuccessful last year may apply again. Community groups and other charitable organisations are encouraged to apply for funding through Persimmon plc’s Community Champions scheme, which is separate from the Foundation’s charitable giving.
