South Wales children have been invited to share their lockdown art for a chance to win prizes.
Leading housebuilder Persimmon Homes West Wales has launched a competition for arty youngsters to paint or draw the person they miss most because of coronavirus social distancing.
Sales director Sharon Bouhali said: “Being forced to stay home means that all our children have people they miss spending time with, whether that is grandparents, school friends or sports teammates.
“Inspired by the lovely artwork that people have been putting in their windows, we would like to see some of that lockdown love.
“We are asking children across our region to draw or paint a picture of the person they are missing most right now. We will select our favourite each week for the next three weeks to receive an Amazon voucher prize to treat themselves.
“We’ll also display the winners on our website for all to see.”
Anyone aged under 16 can enter and a copy of the picture should be emailed to [email protected] along with the name and age of the artist and the name of the person they miss.
Persimmon Homes West Wales has new homes developments in Narberth, Johnstown, Llanelli, Rhos and Bridgend.
The company is currently seeking applications to two charity funding schemes – Community Champions offers donations of up to £1,000 to groups working to help the over-70s during the Covid-19 crisis, while its Building Futures initiate supports projects focused on the under-18s.
