Two sporty Suffolk good causes have scooped £1,000 of community funding each from Persimmon Homes.
Ipswich Town Community Trust and British Paralympian Jonathan Adams were selected by Persimmon Suffolk to receive the donations through its Community Champions scheme.
Ian Hamilton, director in charge for Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: “At a time like this, when voluntary groups, sports clubs and charities are not able to hold their usual fundraising events, we are proud to help worthy local causes. We are also delighted to be able to support a local athlete and wish him the very best in his forthcoming competitions.”

Born with cerebral palsy, Jonathan Adams, from Great Cornard, has competed as a para athlete for over a decade, in junior World Championships, and senior European Championships and Paralympic Games. Persimmon’s funding will help towards a revolutionary bespoke orthotic brace to support the shot-putter’s hip position during throws.
Ipswich Town Community Trust delivers a range of sporting activities, to engage, inspire and develop as many people as possible. The registered charity runs a school sports programme combining sport with numeracy and literacy, soccer schools and football coaching sessions for all abilities, including disability football, and an elite player development centre.
Persimmon Homes Suffolk makes two donations of up to £1,000 every month. The match-funding initiative seeks to support grassroots groups and charities in areas where the company is building and online application form can be found at www.persimmonhomes.com/charity
