VE Day bunting challenge from Persimmon Homes

Families across Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire have been invited to share photos of their VE Day decorations for Persimmon Homes competition.

Persimmon Homes Midlands sales director Claire Dearsley explained: “Like most people, we had been planning some celebratory street parties at our developments, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day.”

“The current lockdown has put paid to all these plans, but we know that many local families will still be demonstrating their community spirit by putting up bunting and flags to mark this important milestone.”

“We are inviting people to simply share photographs of their decorations with us, and we will select a winner to receive a £50 prize voucher.”

Photographs can be sent to [email protected] and the competition closes at midnight on Tuesday 12th May.

Persimmon Homes Midlands has new homes developments in Barton Seagrave, Cheddington, Dunstable, Northampton and Towcester.

The company is currently seeking applications to two charity funding schemes – Community Champions offers donations of up to £1,000 to groups working to help the over-70s during the Covid-19 crisis, while its Building Futures initiate supports projects focused on the under-18s.
