Work started at new development in Eastwood

A regional housebuilder says work is now underway on its new housing development in Eastwood.

Persimmon Homes Nottingham has begun works on the site off Newmanleys Road, with 150 homes scheduled to be built.

The Colliers Walk development, as it will become known, is hoped to be launched in August and will offer a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.

“The location is key,” said Neil Follows, managing director for Persimmon Homes Nottingham.

“The development is conveniently located to the south of Eastwood with easy access to the A610 and M1.

“Although just 10 miles from the vibrant city of Nottingham, Eastwood really does offer homebuyers all the amenities for everyday life with many shops, restaurants, schools and nature reserves on their doorstep.

“We are currently encouraging customers to register their interest online so we can keep them up-to-date with the site’s developments or visit our Elkas Rise development in Ilkeston, which is just five miles away.”

Buyers looking to move into their new home will be able to access the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme, or Persimmon’s Part Exchange and Home Change packages.

“We are working towards opening our show home in November and are hoping to hand over the keys to our first customers in time for the Christmas season.” added Neil.
