NEW HOMES COMING SOON TO CARNOUSTIE

Our Scottish region is poised to start work on the first phase of a new £36 million housing development at Upper Victoria, Carnoustie.

North Scotland were given the green light by Angus Council’s planning committee in February 2021 to begin construction of 194 homes, 49 of which will be Affordable Housing.

The new development, Greenlaw Park, will transforms the former 17-acre Pitskelly Farmland to create a comprehensive range of two, three, four and five bedroom homes.

In addition to the new homes the community will also benefit from a developer contribution of almost £900,000 made by us that will help to fund Primary School provision in the area

Accessed via Upper Victoria, the development is located to the North West of Carnoustie and forms the residential element of a joint venture between our North Scotland region and DJ Laing Group that will ultimately deliver new homes and a new business park.

James MacKay, managing director at North Scotland, said: “Our further investment in Angus is testament to our commitment to support the local community, create jobs and deliver high quality new homes.

“A programme of extensive planting and habitat protection including bat boxes will help to soften the impact on the environment and, over time, help the development to blend with its surroundings.

“We are encouraged by the volume of interest already shown by first time buyers and the surrounding established market and aim to release our first phase at the end of this year.”
