A new sales director has been appointed to lead the team at Durham.

Andrew Somerville, 46, has joined the Bowburn-based business from Miller Homes where he progressed from sales advisor to regional sales manager and associate director over nine years.

Prior to that Andrew worked for Barratt Homes in the North East

Speaking of his new role Andrew, who lives in Backworth, North Tyneside, said: “I am very excited to have joined Persimmon Homes and am looking forward to leading the team here in Durham.

“My immediate focus is to continue the strides Persimmon is making in delivering good quality new homes with a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

“Coming from a sales background I know that we have an excellent product here in the Durham region, building a wide choice of homes on our 14 live developments and it is a role I am very much looking forward to.

“Over my 20-year career I must have been involved with the sale of 1,000s of homes in the region and I am very familiar with the market and am excited to grow my knowledge and experience here at Persimmon.
