A young Northamptonshire bricklayer has been praised as a model trainee by bosses at Persimmon Midlands.
Harry Burgh, from Billing, joined the company in 2018 as a trainee bricklayer and quickly impressed with his skill and work ethic.
Construction director Tom Walker said: “National Apprentice Week gives us an opportunity to pause and recognise the brilliant development of our young trainees.
“Harry is a very driven and single-minded young man, focused on his future development and keen to learn.
“He has passed his level two qualification and is constantly planning ahead and setting himself personal targets – including buying his first home.
“His willingness to learn and natural ability give Harry the foundations of a long and successful career in the construction industry.”
The 20-year-old is now working at Persimmon’s The Furlongs development in Towcester and its sister site, The Farriers, by Charles Church Homes.
Harry said: “The training and support I am receiving from Persimmon Homes is exactly what I need to succeed in my career. I love my job and working for Persimmon”
Regional divisional director (Central) Simon McDonald added: “Harry is the perfect example of the Persimmon Pathway training programme. The company prides itself on seeing the potential in young achievers and providing them with the career path and support to achieve their ambitions.”
