Gloucester school’s hub receives funding boost

A Gloucester school is a step closer to building a ‘wellbeing hub’ for its pupils after receiving a grant from us.

Elmbridge Primary School, on Elmbridge Road, has bagged a £1,000 donation through our long-running Community Champions scheme. Each month we donate up to £64,000 to groups across the UK.

The school is looking to raise £40,000 for a wellbeing hub to be used for counselling, pastoral care and for children who require additional support.

Gemma Standen, Treasurer of Elmbridge Primary School PTA, said: “We are very grateful to Persimmon Homes for their tremendous support. “The wellbeing hub will be a huge benefit to children in the school. It will also be extended to families who need support with issues in school or out of school. “Many of our fundraising events have been cancelled due to the pandemic, so this money is a huge boost.”

Carly Spear, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support Elmbridge Primary School with this money.

“It’s brilliant that the PTA has taken on the challenge of raising the funds for this wellbeing hub. “We hope that this money helps them reach their target.”

We are currently building stunning new homes in Gloucestershire, including at Yew Tree Gardens in Tuffley.
