Our Central team has sponsored the Rare Diseases Centre at Birmingham Childrens’ Hospital throughout the 12 days of Christmas, thanks to its fundraising activities throughout the year.
The team’s dress down Friday events throughout the year have raised £1,500 which has helped to fill the ward with festive cheer for the children visiting and staying at the hospital during the festive season.
The donation forms part of the Central team’s wider fundraising for the hospital, which has totalled £9,800 since 2018.
Helen Miles, head of corporate partnerships at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re always blown away by the support we receive from businesses, like Persimmon Homes Central, at Christmastime. It really helps us to go the extra mile and ensure kids spending time in hospital don’t miss out on the fun and excitement the festive season brings.
“Businesses have a chance to put a smile on a child’s face, at what can be one of the most difficult times in their young life, and we’re so thankful for the support received from the Central team.”
Neil Williams, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Central said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital throughout the festive period, thanks to the funds raised from our dress down Friday events across 2023.
“Christmas is a time for celebration and for families to come together, and we hope that our sponsorship will help to bring some festive spirit to the hospital throughout the 12 days of Christmas.”
