A former Graduate Planner has worked her way up the career ladder to Land and Planning Manager at Persimmon Homes. Emily Berville Charlesworth joined Persimmon in 2018, securing multiple promotions throughout this time to now play a key role in the Central team.

Emily’s work covers Birmingham and its outskirts, working to ensure Persimmon obtains planning permission on key sites, agreeing on the commitments that the site will bring alongside high quality homes – including infrastructure improvements and funding to local facilities. Emily also works to source, bid on, win and purchase land to secure plots for the Central business unit.

Emily said “I’m incredibly proud of my career journey with Persimmon and my time with the business has already brought me so many opportunities since joining back in 2018 and I’m really grateful for the support and encouragement given to me from all of the team. I’m also fortunate enough to now be managing a team of planners in the Central office, being able to give back to and mentor junior members of staff.”
