Midlands team gives £1,000 to Milton Keynes youth welfare charity

A Milton Keynes-based welfare charity for young people has received a £1,000 donation from our Midlands team to fund group sessions with therapy animals.

Out of Class was gifted a £1,000 cash donation as part of our Community Champions initiative. The funds will be used to help the charity provide free-of-charge sessions to vulnerable children and teenagers within the Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire areas.

Out of Class is a charity run by a dynamic team of people who think difference is good. The charity takes trained therapy animals to schools and prisons for children who are deprived and vulnerable.

Stevie Hardingham, Founder and CEO of Out of Class said, said: “We’re so grateful for this kind donation. It means we can provide much needed animal assisted therapy sessions to vulnerable children who are struggling with their mental health. Most of whom would not be able to afford such support without the kind donation of Persimmon Homes and our other funders."

Claire Dearsley, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands said: “What we do is about far more than just building quality homes – we’re also committed to providing support and leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities we build in.

“We’re delighted to be able to support Out of Class with this £1,000 donation, allowing their sessions to continue to run and help vulnerable young people within the local community.”
