A Northamptonshire-based charity that helps those experiencing challenging pregnancies or childbirth has received a £1,000 donation from our Midlands team.
Ailsa’s Aim was gifted a £1,000 cash donation as part of our Community Champions initiative. The funds will be used to help the charity provide its essential care packages to cancer patients and families with babies in special care.
Ailsa’s Aim works to relieve the needs of people in England and Wales who suffer from cancer or gestational diabetes, or have experienced premature and problematic childbirth and their families and carers.
Niven Whatley from Ailsa’s Aim said, said: “We’re so grateful for this kind donation from Persimmon Homes. The work that we do helps to lighten the emotional load of those facing challenging circumstances around pregnancy and childbirth, and a lot of what we do relies on the kindness and generosity of volunteers and donations.
“This kind donation will mean that we can purchase more items for our packages with personal care items in, which are delivered to beneficiaries who may not always have access to these types of goods.”
Claire Dearsley, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands said: “What we do is about far more than just building quality homes – we’re also committed to providing support and leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities we build in.
“We’re delighted to be able to support Ailsa’s Aim with this £1,000 donation, allowing their care packages to reach more people in need.”
