Suffolk team offers cash boost to Mellis CE Primary School

A Mellis-based school has received a £1,000 donation to kick off the New Year, thanks to our Suffolk team.

Mellis CE Primary School received the donation as part of our Community Champions initiative. The funds will be used towards the parent-teacher association’s calendar of events in 2023.

Mellis CE Primary School aims to instil a solid work ethic as it nurtures the young minds of Mellis, Yaxley and the surrounding areas. The school aims to give its children the opportunities to acquire key learning experiences, live the values of courtesy, attitude, respect and empathy and enrich their academic life through extra-curricular activities organised by the school and its parent association.

Paul Ryle, Headteacher at Mellis CE Primary School, said: “A huge thank you to Persimmon Homes for supporting as we go into the New Year; these kind donations make a real difference to the school, its pupils and the wider community our parent-teacher association plans its events for this year.”

Lucy Woodhall, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”
