Our Central team has sponsored the Lung Function and Cystic Fibrosis ward at Birmingham Children’s Hospital throughout the 12 days of Christmas, thanks to its fundraising activities throughout the year.
The team’s events throughout the year will help to fill the ward with festive cheer for the children staying at the hospital over the Christmas period. The team also donated £500 to the hospital for the proceeds raised as part of Central’s dress down Fridays, as well as gifting new toys and games to the grotto too.
Katie Harris, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “It’s not easy being in hospital during the festive period so we’re on a mission to make Christmas as magical as possible for our sick kids, and we’re so grateful to have Persimmon Homes on board as one of our Magic Makers to help us do that.”
The donation forms part of the Central team’s wider fundraising for the hospital, which has totalled over £12,300 since 2018.
