Central team steps up to raise £1,100 for Cancer Research UK

Colleagues in our Central team took part in Cancer Research’s Shine Night Walk in the city, walking 10k to raise the vital funds.

Six colleagues at trained hard to complete the challenge and raised £550, with the team in the office doubling their funds to make the total £1,100.

Sarah Kenwrick-Moore, Customer Care Co-ordinator at Persimmon Homes Central, said: “Everybody will have been affected by cancer in some way, and so we felt it important to raise these funds for a charity that touches so many lives and does vital work across the country.

“We’re so grateful to Neil and the wider Persimmon team for matching our fundraising money, which will hopefully go some way to helping the work that Cancer Research UK do.”

Neil Williams, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Central, said: “What we do is about so much more than building quality homes – we’re also committed to supporting charities and helping our staff to do more in their communities.

“Sarah and the team’s work to raise money for Cancer Research UK is inspiring and I’m delighted to have matched their fundraising, helping them to exceed their target.”
