Double celebration for Norfolk footballers

Mundford FC had two reasons to celebrate this January – a cup victory for their Under 18 squad and a sponsorship from Persimmon Homes Anglia.

Our Anglia region donated £1,000 towards upgrading the floodlights for the club’s training area, allowing the club to extend their offering and cater for more youth and women’s teams.

The money was presented to members from the club, which sits at the heart of the village, in front of the John Marston Stand, following a cup victory for the Under 18s team.

Michelle Baker, Managing Director of Persimmon Homes Anglia, said “At Persimmon Homes we want to create a lasting legacy within our community by supporting clubs like Mundford as they grow and develop their facilities to cater for their new members.”

Trevor Mouncer, Mundford FC Chairman, added “We are very appreciative of this donation and would like to thank Persimmon Homes Anglia for supporting the club. We are keen to continue growing the club and give even more local people the chance to play football here in the village.”
