Green light for new homes in Greater Manchester

Bolton Council has approved Persimmon's plans for the final phase of homes on their Bluebell Walk development in Westhoughton.

Built under our Charles Church brand, the 21 new homes will provide a mix of 4 and 5-bedroom houses.

As part of planning approvals for the wider site, Persimmon has contributed over £370,000 to the local authority to go towards the provision of primary school places at The Gates Primary School and St George’s CofE Primary School.

Homes on the wider development range from 1-bed through to 5-bed detached. 105 of the homes on the wider development will be transferred to a local housing association.

Residents have access to over 9 acres of useable public open space, the equivalent of 4.5 football pitches.

Chris Kershaw, Development Director Charles Church North West, said “We’re delighted that Bolton Council has granted permission for the final 21 homes on our Bluebell Walk development.

“We are committed to building high-quality, affordable homes for local people, and this development provides a mix of house sizes for families and downsizers alike. Our development also provides significant funding for education in the local area.”
