Homebuilder on the hunt for good causes

Persimmon Homes is on the lookout for charities and community groups in Clackmannanshire to benefit from its Community Champions initiative

Five-star homebuilder Persimmon Homes North Scotland is calling for charities and community organisations in Clackmannanshire to put themselves forward for support through the company’s charitable giving scheme.

The call to action was launched with the help of Clackmannanshire Council Leader, Cllr Ellen Forson, who joined Persimmon to encourage local groups to apply for funding.

Every quarter, each of the company’s regional businesses – including Persimmon Homes North Scotland, which is responsible for the Willowfields development in Sauchie – donates up to £6,000 to support charities, community groups, and good causes in the areas where they operate.

Since it was launched in 2015, the Community Champions initiative has donated more than £360,000 to good causes across Scotland in just the last five years alone, funding projects that make a real difference to local people.

Applying for support is quick and straightforward, with the online application taking less than five minutes to complete. To make it as accessible as possible, any good cause, charity, or community organisation can apply by visiting www.persimmonhomes.com/community-champions.

Cllr Ellen Forson, Leader of Clackmannanshire Council, said:

“It’s fantastic to see Persimmon Homes supporting our local charities and community groups here in Clackmannanshire.

“These organisations do invaluable work to improve people’s lives, and initiatives like Community Champions make a real difference by helping them continue that work.

“So many of our local groups rely on the generosity of others to deliver their services, so I’d encourage any organisation making a difference in our community to take advantage of this accessible funding opportunity and apply.“

James MacKay, Persimmon North Scotland Managing Director, said:

“We know how important charities and grassroots organisations are to communities across Clackmannanshire, and through our Community Champions scheme we’re proud to support the people who go the extra mile to help others.

“We’d encourage any local group, big or small, to apply for funding – it only takes a few minutes, and it could make a huge difference to your work.”

As well as supporting local causes, Persimmon is investing in the future of Clackmannanshire through its Willowfields development in Sauchie, where it is building  high-quality, energy-efficient new homes. The mix of two, three, and four-bedroom properties will provide much-needed housing options for first-time buyers, families, and downsizers alike.
