New homes given green light in Solihull

A popular part of Dickens Heath is set to welcome new homes.

Charles Church has secured unanimous planning approval for 86 new homes on Tythe Barn Lane in Dickens Heath.

Whitlocks Reach will offer a mix of 1 to 5 bedroom homes, designed to meet local housing needs.

The site will deliver over 2 acres of public open space which will include a new play trail area.

Every home will include solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.

The development will also contribute circa £2 million towards local highway infrastructure, schools, healthcare, play areas, bio-diversity net gain and public footpath improvements through a Section 106 agreement.

Nick Wilkins, Technical Director at Charles Church Central, said: " "We are thrilled to have secured unanimous approval for our Whitlocks Reach development. This new sustainable development will bring much-needed new homes for local people in Dickens Heath."
