Persimmon Homes North Midlands have recently donated £5000 to the Peter Le Marchant Trust through the Community Champions scheme.

The funding will support a range of accessibility adaptations to their new boat, Harmony, ensuring that passengers of all abilities can enjoy their time on the water.

The trust provides inclusive and accessible canal boat experiences for thousands of people each year living with disabilities, life-limiting conditions, and mental health challenges.

The donation was officially presented to volunteers at the Peter Le Marchant Trust by the Mayor of Charnwood, Councillor Colin Hamilton, and the Mayoress, Mrs Emma Lowe.

Carl Martin, Development Officer at Peter Le Marchant Trust, commented:

“A huge thank you to Persimmon Homes for this generous donation which has made crucial contributions to the adaptations required for our new boat, Harmony.
