Infant school receive donation to upgrade their Forest School

Infant school children in Windlesham are planning an upgrade to their Forest School area after receiving £5,500 funding.

Charles Church Thames Valley made the donation to Windlesham Village Infant School through their Community Champions, designed to create a positive legacy in the areas where they are building.

The pupils had been using a wooded area opposite their school, but a routine tree inspection has deemed the area currently unusable, and they have had to relocate to the school grounds. They are now working together to plan how best to invest the money to allow them open-ended outdoor play.

Matthew Coe, Construction Director for Charles Church Thames Valley, said: “The school is fostering an early appreciation of the great outdoors through their Forest School activities, and it is a pleasure to be able to support them as they upgrade this area to enhance the experience for the pupils.”

We are currently building the Charles Church Crownfield Court development in Windlesham, bringing 116 much-needed new homes to the area including 23 shared ownership properties and homes for affordable rent, as well as a new community centre which is already complete.
