New plans for 62 new homes in North Yorkshire have been submitted by Persimmon Homes.
The York-based housebuilder has submitted plans for new homes to North Yorkshire Council for the site located in the village of Kellington, south of Selby and just north of the M62 motorway.
Of these homes, in Kellington, 10% will be earmarked to be built and transferred to an affordable housing provider or sold at a discount.
The development includes plans for a centrally located children’s play area; tree and hedge planting as well as two new interlinked footpaths through the site.
Views towards the Grade 1 listed Church of St Edmund will be retained as part of the housebuilder’s plans.
Graham Whiteford, Persimmon Yorkshire Planning Director, said:
“We are delighted to bring forward these plans for new homes in Kellington.
“New housing is needed and, in these plans, we are hoping to provide affordable, energy efficient homes for first-time buyers and families alike.”
