£1,000 cash boost to Staffordshire music charity
15 September 2023

A Staffordshire-based wellbeing charity which aims to empower young children through music and creativity has received a £1,000 donation.
Make Some Noise received the cash boost from the developer’s West Midlands team as part of its Community Champions initiative. The funds will be used to increase the wellbeing of local children with highly complex and special needs through the delivery of empowering creative activities.
Between September 2023 and July 2024, Make Some Noise will run 42 weekly sessions for children with special needs to participate in fun and accessible wellbeing sessions, set up their own bands and compose their own music, to then perform on tour to over 1500 children - which the children will help to plan.
Tim Sharp, CEO at Make Some Noise said: “We’re absolutely delighted by this kind donation from Persimmon Homes. Our goal has always been to empower young vulnerable children with self-belief to flourish and change their world for the better.
“The money that Persimmon has kindly gifted us has gone towards our 42-week project between September 2023 and July 2024. It’s thanks to kind donations such as this one that we’re able to make the project a reality.”
David Greengrass, Sales Director of Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local schools and community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”
“It’s great to be able to support Make Some Noise as they plan this year’s project and wish them the very best of luck for September onwards.”
