A Bromsgrove playgroup which offers outdoor activities for local children is celebrating after receiving £1000 donation

Wild Little Wonderers, which is an outdoor stay and play group providing a safe space for free play has received £1,000 from Persimmon Homes.
The group was set up in October 2021 by Sophie Pedley. The facility provides local children with the opportunity to get outdoors and play at all times of the year.
Commenting on the funding, Founder Sophie Pedley said: “The Community Champions funding we received has allowed us to purchase a range of wonderful new resources for the children. We invested in a much-loved outdoor art easel, treasure panning station and pizza oven for role-playing in the mud kitchen! It also went towards our very own shed - creating a safe storage space for all of our resources. Finally, we hosted a whole month of 'Gruffalo' themed play with some lovely new resources which will be used and loved by Little Wonderers for years to come.
I am so thankful to Persimmon Homes for the hugely generous grant that we were chosen for and feel incredibly grateful that I get to witness the difference it has made to so many children and their families.”
Amanda Rogers, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes in Studley said: “It was fantastic to visit Sophie and her team recently and to witness for ourselves, the fabulous facilities on offer to children at the Centre. I am delighted we have been able to support them and hope the new equipment brings lots of enjoyment.”
