Abergavenny houses selling well
03 April 2019
A new housing development in Abergavenny has got off to a flying start.
Persimmon Homes East Wales is building 250 new homes at its Willow Court site on land off Hereford Road in Llantilio Pertholey.
The properties are currently being sold from a town centre sales outlet next to Iceland on Cibi Walk.Sales bosses say being in the heart of the town has helped to sell the first of the properties, with six already snapped up.
Victoria Williams, sales director at Persimmon Homes East Wales, said: “We released the first homes onto the market at the start of the year and we’re delighted to have already secured sales for the first half a dozen units.
“It is unusual for us to have an off-site sales office as we do at Willow Court but it’s really working. People are popping in as they go about picking up their groceries and that is creating interest.”
Victoria said there had been lots of interest in the Help to Buy – Wales scheme, which allows purchasers to buy a property with a deposit of just five per cent.
Persimmon expects to be in the temporary town centre sales office for another six months before opening a marketing suite on site, where construction work is now well underway. Willow Court has a range of properties to suit everyone, from two-bed starter homes, to spacious five-beds for larger families.
Some of the house types currently on offer include The Alnwick, The Bickleigh, The Chedworth and The Hanbury. The site is next to the Brecon Beacons National Park and there is a great selection of schools nearby, as well as good shopping and leisure facilities.
Prices start £179,995 – or as little as £377 a month.
