Approval for energy-efficient upgrades to 132 new homes at Calverton development
22 January 2024
Gedling Borough Council has approved planning permission for energy-efficient upgrades to 132 homes in Calverton.
Located off Park Road in the village, the homes are being delivered by our Nottingham team. The redesign of the initial application – which will incorporate more energy-efficient homes at the development – was approved unanimously at planning committee and will provide the community with a mix of homes, helping to address local housing need.
The redesigns include increased thickness of cavity walls for better insulation, and PV solar panels on each of the homes.
Carl Oxley, Land Director at Persimmon Homes Nottingham said: “Ensuring that we’re delivering homes that are more sustainable is of utmost importance to us at Persimmon.
“We’re delighted to have received approval for our amended application at our community in Calverton, and I want to thank Gedling Borough Council for their support. Not only will this enable us to upgrade the previously approved 132 homes, but it will also generate a significant investment in the local economy.”
