Award recognition for Suffolk trainee

15 December 2020

A sales advisor from Suffolk has received national recognition in the annual Persimmon Homes Achievers Awards.

Imogen Handley, who works at the Boyton Place development in Haverhill, was named as Sales Trainee of the year runner-up in the leading housebuilder’s search for its top talent and received a certificate of commendation.

The 20-year-old was nominated by Persimmon Homes Suffolk sales director Lucy Woodhall, who said: “Imogen joined us straight from college and took less than a year to be promoted from trainee to fully-fledged sales advisor.

“She has excelled in our company training programme, always pushing herself to be the best for her customers. Throughout lockdown she continued to secure sales and deliver top-quality service to buyers through regular online and telephone contact to reassure them that everything was progressing to plan.

“The regional management team are delighted that Imogen has been recognised for her consistently high levels of dedication to Persimmon and its customers.”

Imogen added: “I am very honoured to receive this accolade. The Persimmon Homes in-house training programme is an excellent way to learn new skills and develop your career, and I am grateful to all the Suffolk team for supporting me in my chosen profession.”

Also recognised by the Persimmon Homes Suffolk regional management team for their commitment to learning and development were land and planning trainee Jessica Baker, senior sales administrator Chloe Chappell and construction director Stacy Brett, all of whom are based at the company’s regional headquarters in Great Blakenham.

Director in charge Ian Hamilton said: “Everyone at the regional office is very proud of the contribution these colleagues make to the ongoing success of the business.

“Persimmon is committed to supporting employees to provide excellent service to our customers, whether they are young people just setting out on their careers or, like Stacy Brett, someone who has already given more than a decade of loyal service but continues to demonstrate a real passion for delivering top quality homes for local people.”
