Buckinghamshire children to design dream home to celebrate art week
17 November 2012
To celebrate National Art Week a housing developer in Buckinghamshire is giving school children across the area the chance to design their dream home.
Persimmon Homes is calling for school children in the town to design their very own dream home for the chance to win a bumper art pack.
Claire Lambert, head of sales for Persimmon Homes (Midlands) said: “Wherever possible we like to get involved with the community and this is the perfect opportunity for youngsters in the area to demonstrate their creativity and celebrate Art Week
“The Steeples development in the village of Calvert offers all kinds of homes – from a one bedroom coach house or a two bedroom terrace to a four bedroom family house – but we would like local children to show us what their dream home would look like.
“From our work with children in the past we’re expecting to see some eye catching designs.”
Children wanting to enter the competition should take their designs, drawn on one sheet of A4 paper and clearly marked with their name, address, age and telephone number, to the Persimmon Homes development at The Steeples on Brickhill Way, Calvert. The closing date for entries is Friday 10th August 2012 and the competition is open to any child under the age of 16.
