Building Futures helps Ipswich BMX clubhouse plans
09 June 2021

A BMX club’s plans for their own premises are a £1,000 closer, thanks to Persimmon Suffolk.
The regional business selected Ipswich BMX Club to receive the funding through its Building Futures scheme, which supports organisations working with the under-18s.
Club spokesperson Tracey Reeve said: “We provide a safe place for more than 45 young members to meet and ride. As a club we raised the funds to install a new track, which will be built this summer, but we really need a new clubhouse for our riders and coaches.
“Persimmon’s generous donation will take us a step closer to our dream.”
Building Futures will deliver more than £1m to good causes across England, Scotland and Wales. The initiative aims to support community groups working with under-18s across three categories – education & arts, health and sport.
Ian Hamilton, managing director of Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: “We’re delighted to help Ipswich BMX Club to provide local young people with a safe place to enjoy this exciting sport.
“Building Futures is all about supporting youth groups in our area. We’re accepting entries until mid-August so we’d urge more people to apply by visiting www.persimmonhomes.com/charity”
