Buying off-plan reaps rewards for Taunton homebuyers

28 September 2020

House hunters are being urged to consider buying new build and off-plan at a popular development near Taunton.

Persimmon Homes is moving on to construction of the second phase of Hartnells Farm - its popular development in Monkton Heathfield, near Taunton – which will see construction of two, three and four-bedroom homes.

Stacey Harris, sales director for Persimmon Homes South West, said: “We’re delighted to be providing even more new homes at Hartnells Farm. This is an exciting new phase of our development and we’re pleased to see that things are progressing.”

Hartnells Farm offers a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes to suit a first-time buyers, investors and expanding families alike. Stacey added: “We have seen strong interest in our earlier phase at Hartnells Farm , and we know from speaking to people there is still an appetite to either get onto the property ladder, or to make the next move. Nestled between the Blackdown Hills and Quantock Hills Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and part of Taunton’s rural district, Monkton Heathfield still retains much of its appealing village identity. Hartnells Farm is ideally suited for local shopping with a friendly community feel, whilst the nearby historical town of Taunton offers a wide range of amenities.”

Buyers who act early and secure their homes by purchasing off plan can also enjoy the pick of the plots and other advantages. Explaining the benefits of buying off plan, Stacey added: “We are already seeing many customers getting ahead of game and securing their new home off-plan. Buying this way is ideal because you can secure your preferred property and location within the development. Reserving at this stage means customers can truly personalise their home by choosing from a range of fixtures and fittings items such as kitchen units, appliances, showers, wall tiles and flooring options. It also means that you have the maximum amount of time to prepare, taking some of the stress out of moving home and anyone with an existing property to sell should ask about Home Change and Part Exchange schemes."
