Cefn Glas homes go on sale this weekend
15 October 2021

The first of 127 new homes in Bridgend will be released for sale this weekend, amid huge interest in the development.
Construction is well underway at our Llys Ystrad development at the former Ysgol Bryn Castell site on Llangewydd Road in Cefn Glas.
The school was demolished in 2015 and has been unused since. The first homes will be released for sale this Saturday, October 16th.
Sharon Bouhali, sales director at Persimmon Homes West Wales, said there had been huge demand. “Work started on this development in July this year and people have been able to register their interest ever since and the response has been huge. The development is in a lovely area with excellent transport links and good local schooling so it’s easy to see why the demand is as high as it is.”
The first phase of homes released for sale will include three and four-beds from £270,995. A stunning show home is currently being built and is scheduled to open for visitors in November.
Sharon added: “We will have a great range of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Cefn Glas for first-time buyers, growing families and professionals. I’m looking forward to watching this site develop and grow in the months and years to come.”
Persimmon Homes is providing more than £500,000 towards the provision of secondary school and post-16 places serving the development. In addition, the development will provide a massive boost to the local economy through the construction industry and its multiplier effect. According to research by the Home Builders Federation, for every £1 spent on housing £3 goes back into the economy and each home built creates 1.5 full time direct jobs. It is also estimated that at least twice that number of jobs is created in the supply chain.
