Central apprentice soars to new heights
19 August 2024
An apprentice working with our Central team has seen his career take a flying start.
Luke Taylor trained to become a carpenter through our apprenticeship programme, enabling him to become skilled in his trades and graduate six months early with distinction. Taken on as part of the first phase of our Kenilworth Gate development, Luke has since had job offers by several subcontractors and will soon be starting work as a qualified carpenter.
As a congratulations for completing his apprenticeship, the team gifted Luke a £100 Screwfix voucher. This will form part of an initiative by the regional team where each apprentice will receive this gift card upon completion of their studies.
Patrick Price, Construction Director Designate at Persimmon Homes Central, said: “At Persimmon, we’re passionate about developing future talent and equipping our apprentices with the practical skills they need to thrive in the working world, as well as ensuring they have the necessary theoretical background from our partnerships with local colleges.
“It’s a delight to work with our apprentices on a daily basis, helping to coach them throughout the early stages of their career and watch them develop their skills.”
