Central team gives £1,000 cash boost to Kenilworth-based primary school

A PTA associated with a Kenilworth-based primary school has received a £1,000 donation from our central team.
Thorns Infant Community School PTA received the £1,000 funding boost as part of our Community Champions initiative. The group helps the school to fund a calendar of events for its pupils, as well as supporting the school and its children with iPads, play areas and access to books.
Vice Chair at Thorns Infant Community School PTA said: "We were overcome with gratitude to Persimmons for their sponsorship towards our spring fair this year. We worked really hard to put on an event which would be enjoyed by families and children at Thorns, and with much needed funds given, we were able to provide an event that not only was fun for all, but also meaningful in that we were able to raise money to go towards Thorns Forestry School!
“We are happy to share that all funds raised by parents and families on the day are going towards the equipment needed to update/upgrade the Willow garden, which is where forestry school is held. We are very humbled and thankful for Persimmon’s kindness and are very excited for what we have planned next for all the children."
Neil Williams, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Central, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”
“It’s great to be able to offer this support to Thorns Infant Community School PTA and we wish them all the best with their plans for 2024.”
