Charity checks out donation for pre-school groups
12 August 2021

Pre-school children with disabilities and their families attending a special support group are benefiting £1,000 from our East Midlands region to help buy new toys and equipment.
KIDS Lincolnshire has been gifted the donation from the our Community Champions fund.
The group runs 13 early learning and support sessions across Lincolnshire each week, supporting 98 disabled children and their parents across the county. Four of these sessions takes place at Boston, Stamford, Spalding and Holbeach Children’s Centre weekly during term time, and currently supports nine disabled children and their families at each session.
Philip Greenwood, community fundraiser for the group, said: “Our learning sessions bring parents and carers together with their pre-school children, so that they benefit from the advice and support of other parents, professionals and our trained practitioners."
“Our staff are highly trained and experienced professionals who are well equipped to support children with reduced communication, challenging behaviour and limited mobility, allowing them to meet the individual needs of each child in attendance."
"Post covid we have an urgent need to purchase new sensory toys and play equipment to allow for the increase in numbers attending and so that we can ensure a covid safe and secure environment as sharing equipment is no longer practical, so this is a very welcome donation."
Nova Eames, sales director for East Midlands region, said: “We are delighted to be able to support KIDS Lincolnshire and help them fund new toys and equipment.”
