Comfy new houses for sale in Newport, Shropshire
01 April 2011
Children from Moorfield Primary School in Newport, Shropshire were treated to their very own, private story-telling session at Adam’s Court in Salters Lane, Persimmon Homes West Midlands’ development in the town.
As part of National Storytelling Week, which aims to increase public awareness of the art, practice and values of storytelling, Persimmon invited the pupils from the school to come along to the marketing suite and have their favourite book read aloud to them by on site sales adviser, Anne Anslow.
Anita Williams, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “It’s always great to be able to support the local community and I’m sure that all the children had a lot of fun. National Storytelling Week is a really good initiative to support as it encourages children to sit and read or listen to stories and enjoy the benefits of stirring imagination instead of just playing on the computer or watching the television.
“We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the session and look forward to seeing the children back again next year with a new book for 2012.”
