Cornwall and West Devon support ‘The Big Parents Evening’ in Plymouth

Last weekend, our Cornwall and West Devon region supported ‘The Big Parents Evening’ at Home Park Stadium in Plymouth.

The event, organised by YMCA Plymouth, aimed to provide students and parents with the best possible information advice and guidance on both academic and vocational career pathways.

YMCA Plymouth is a local education, health and families' charity, which supports young people and the local community to belong, contribute and thrive. 

The business was represented on the evening by regional apprenticeship manager, Andy Wallis, who said:

“The options available to young people when choosing their future careers have never been so vast, and it’s important we ensure students and parents have all the relevant information they require to inform their next steps.

“With our large and ever increasing presence in Plymouth, it’s vital the business plays a prominent role in such events as we compete to attract and secure the best local talent to Persimmon and the housebuilding industry.

“The Big Parents Evening provided a fantastic opportunity to discuss the numerous career pathways we offer at Persimmon Cornwall and West Devon and within the wider construction sector.”
