Cranbrook couple secure keys to dream home
14 November 2012
An Exeter couple are the first to take ownership of a brand new home at Galileo in Cranbrook.
Emma Woods and Dan Stokes purchased the two bedroom home on the exclusive Persimmon Homes development following a visit to the showhome earlier this year. The couple were the first though the door when Persimmon opened for business at 06:00am due to demand from prospective buyers in the area.
So impressed with the location and quality of the build, that it didn’t take them long to put down a deposit under the Government scheme FirstBuy to help them secure a foot onto the property ladder.
Emma, said: “We were thrilled to find out we were eligible for FirstBuy as we have wanted to own our own home for a while now and this was a great opportunity. As soon as we visited Galileo we instantly knew it was where we wanted to live.
“The home is beautiful and the perfect place for me and my partner to start thinking of settling down, getting married and having children.”
Nina Hester, sales and marketing director of Persimmon Homes South West, said; “Although FirstBuy is no longer available and has been replaced by NewBuy, we are delighted that it has assisted Emma and Dan to take that first step. I know that Stacey Harris and Tim Redman from our sales and site team were only too pleased to help the young couple secure their dream home and get onto the property ladder.
“It’s never been easier to own a new home at Galileo with both NewBuy and Part Exchange available. Prospective buyers will be particularly attracted to NewBuy as it removes the obstacle of having to find a large deposit by opening up a 95 per cent mortgage product.”
Persimmon Homes Galileo offers a wide range of contemporary three, four and five bedroom homes priced from £224,000.
