Daisy eyes progress on new homes site

Little Daisy Nutting has been taking a special interest in progress at a new homes development near her Leicestershire home – and she has every reason to be excited as the development bears her name.
Developer Persimmon Homes was inspired to name the development Daisy’s View after hearing the three-year-old was taking a huge interest in the works, which are visible from her bedroom window.
Her mum Vikki, who is a sales office manager at Persimmon Homes North Midlands, explained: “Our house overlooks the development and Daisy has been fascinated by the works that have been going on and watching all the diggers and activity on site.
“I had mentioned her interest at work but never expected that she would inspire the name of the development – it came as a surprise and is actually quite an honour.”
Daisy, who lives nearby with her mum and dad Leigh, has now been made guest of honour at the development and has been issued with her own hard hat and hi-vis jacket and she even cut the ribbon at the official opening of the marketing suite in Burbage.
Nadine O’Dowd, sales director for Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said: “It was lovely hearing Vikki tell us about Daisy’s interest in the development and we thought Daisy’s View had a certain ring to it and settled upon that as the name of our development.
“Daisy enjoyed exploring progress at the development and we were delighted to have her there as our mini guest of honour. Who knows, if she continues to show an interest, she could end up being a site manager at future developments!”
Daisy’s View is a collection of just 40 three and four-bedroom family homes off Brookfield Road in Burbage, where prices start from £214,995.
Nadine added: “We have been absolutely delighted by the interest in Daisy’s View and the majority of homes are already sold off plan. If anyone is interested in buying a home here I would genuinely urge them not to delay.”
